still walking old fairways
still swinging irons and woods
still lining up putts on greens
how many lost golf balls
still lying in overgrown rough
how many lost golf balls
sunk in mud at bottom of ponds
how many lost golf balls
sliced out of play into thick woods
now, peaceful quietness reigns here
as golf course slowly evolves away
